I joined the choir in April 2017. Having never tried singing "properly" before (and not being able to read a single note of music!) it's been a wonderful revelation. I'm so glad I was persuaded. I love the sheer emotional uplift of all our voices working together and now can't imagine my life without it.
My work life is centred around our business (a digital marketing agency) but every chance I get, I love to grow things! I'm a keen gardener and after 10 years of waiting, finally got an allotment space in our village this year. I love the concept of "free food" so besides having all the fruit and veg I want now (depending on the summer) I love hunting for the best free food of all in the woods and hedgerows, from chanterelles and raspberries to apples and sloes. I've been an amateur ballroom dancer for about 12 years with my other half, David. Happiest when? Well, I hate being cold (I'm known as "the lizard") so if the sun is shining and the temperature's above 18 celsius, that's my idea of heaven.
